Data Protection and Privacy Policy  

At TMK Tiles Ltd we are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy.  This policy explains when and why we collect information about our customers, how we use it, the conditions under which we may disclose it to others and how we keep it secure.

Who are we?

We are TMK Tiles Ltd, a tile importer and retailer providing competitively priced, quality wall and floor tiles.  We are a Limited Company (Company Reg. No. 06847226).  The registered office address is Manor Farm Barn, Fen Road, Pidley, Cambs PE28 3DD.

How do we collect information from you?

We obtain information from you when you begin trading with us.  For example, when you contact us to buy products either by completing an Account opening form or dealing with our showroom personnel over telephone or email.

What type of information is collected from you?

The information we collect may include your Name, Trading Name, Invoice Address, Delivery Address, Email Address, Telephone number, Company Registration, VAT number, Delivery instructions.

How is your information used?

  • We may use the information to:
  • process an order that you have submitted;
  • notify you of any changes to our services (ie. opening/closing times);
  • send updates and offers on our products;
  • organise transport to deliver your order.

Lawful basis for processing of data

The lawful bases for processing are set out in Article 6 of the GDPR.  At least one of these must apply whenever we process personal data:

Consent: the individual has given clear consent for you to process their personal data for a specific purpose.  This purpose being – as set out in paragraph (a) above.

Who has access to your information?

We will not sell or rent your information to third parties. We will not share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Third Party Service Providers working on our behalf

We may pass your information to our third party service providers for the purpose of completing tasks and providing services to you on our behalf (ie. to deliver goods).  However when we use third party service providers, we disclose only the information that is necessary to deliver the service and we have a contract in place that requires them to keep your information secure and not to use it for their own direct marketing purposes.  Please be assured that we will not release any information to third parties outside TMK Tiles Ltd unless we are required to do so by law, for example, by a court order or for the purpose of prevention of fraud or other crime.

Your choices

You have a choice about whether or not you wish to receive information from us.  If you do not want to receive direct marketing communications from us about our products and services, then you can choose to opt out by emailing us at sales@tmktiles.co.uk.  We will not contact you for marketing purposes by email or telephone unless you have given your prior consent.  You can change your marketing preferences at any time by contacting us by email: sales@tmktiles.co.uk or by telephone on 01480 266321.

How you can access and update your information

Security precautions in place to protect the loss, misuse or alteration of your data

When you give us personal information, we take steps to ensure that it is treated securely.  Non-sensitive details (ie. your email address) are transmitted normally over the internet and this can never be guaranteed to be 100% secure.  As a result, whilst we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of any information you transmit to us, and you do so at your own risk.  Once we receive your information we make our best effort to ensure its security on our systems.
